Travel is chiefly an illusion for the gullible, in which a person is made to believe she has arrived at a new destination and is experiencing sensations that are unique to her changed environment. In fact, more often than not, the person has been fed expensive sleeping pills, robbed, and left to slumber in a pit of banana peels. The person who perpetrates this popular crime is generally referred to as a “travel agent.”
